Japanese video game publisher is seeking a PR & Marketing Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is intimately familiar with games and gaming (with a bonus being for our titles or signature genres), follows the latest voices and publications about gaming, and is persistent in finding new ways to break through the noise and get top tier coverage of our games.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Marketing Manager in creating marketing plans and schedules for titles pertaining to P.R. & Marketing activities.
Support the execution of marketing activities for game titles.
Manage the schedule and delivery of marketing assets.
Gather metrics on activity results and manage and report KPIs.
Report on the efficacy of various campaigns and efforts with press and influencers.
Prepare and arrange assets for distribution to press and other stakeholders.
Communicate with outside vendors to make marketing assets.
Communicate with licensors to acquire marketing assets.
Work alongside 1st party partners to request and distribute materials such as review codes and trailers.
Review and respond to PR email inquiries and forward them to other team members as needed.
Respond to code request emails following our internal code distribution guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
(Communication, Marketing, Advertising or related field a plus). - Native proficiency in Japanese, including both written and spoken communication.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- 2+ years of experience working in a team.
- Strong attention to deadlines.
- Understanding of video game concepts, terms, and gameplay (in particular RPGs).
- Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel internationally.
