Project Finance Credit Reviewer_

POSITION SUMMARY
Japanese financial institution is seeking a Project Finance Credit Reviewer in Midtown, NY.

The role of Project Finance Credit Reviewer involves being part of the Credit Review team within the broader risk team, working to achieve team objectives and initiatives. The primary responsibility is to complete Project Finance credit reports and support team oversight reporting. Assistance to a senior Project Finance Credit Reviewer in maintaining and enhancing the Project Finance review process is required.

• Prepare Project Finance credit-related reports with necessary training and support. This includes liaising with colleagues from different departments to gather information, researching and analyzing data sources, and preparing reports.

• Maintain and enhance Project Finance credit review processes and update relevant policies and procedures.

• Provide credit review opinions by applying credit rating models and methodologies in credit reports and targeted credit reviews.

• Communicate and support discussions with regulators and/or auditors regarding the branch’s project finance exposure, alongside the senior Project Finance Credit Reviewer.

• Analyze and verify reports for accuracy, providing remedial actions to ensure integrity before reporting to senior management.

• Liaise with stakeholders to provide analysis and data as needed.

• Prepare, present, and discuss reports for monthly branch credit committees and other meetings as required.

• Experience working in a Credit Risk Management area, ideally within a financial institution completing Project Finance credit analysis, for at least four to seven years.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, macros, and pivot tables.

• Japanese language skills are helpful but not required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong team player with a willingness to work as part of and contribute to both the Credit Team and the wider Risk team.

   

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in Project Finance credit analysis within a financial institution.

• Proficiency in Japanese language.

   

SALARY

USD $100K -110K + discretionary bonus

Midtown, NYC
