POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting various activities and functions, including account management, administrative support, royalty reports, design approvals, and more, while supporting multiple product licenses and reporting to the Manager of Sales Licensing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate Licensing Business:
Provide information and reports as requested by the Japan HQ, licensees, or supervisor to ensure smooth licensing transactions.
Organize and provide necessary information to help the Manager of Sales Licensing close deals smoothly and manage accounts.
Take proactive and preventative measures to avoid problems and minimize licensing and approval issues.
Consistently complete sales transactions, approvals, and required documentation within designated timelines.
Accurately ensure the collection of account receivables and closeouts within designated timelines.
Increase sales opportunities through the development of marketing plans, materials, approvals, and coordinate artworks/style guides within the designated timeline.
Maintain the sample room and space in good order and organize product samples, including pre-production samples.
Coordinate Approval and Style Guide for Merchandising Licensing:
Organize the approval process, artwork development schedule, samples, etc., and share information internally.
Coordinate/request materials from the Japan HQ office and deliver materials and assets to licensees.
Communicate with licensees, local agents, and Japan HQ daily to ensure smoother approval coordination and immediate solutions. Visit licensees if necessary.
Coordinate/request new artworks from the Japan HQ office based on licensee and local trend needs.
Obtain and assess information to understand licensees' needs and provide better solutions.
Ensure the quality and accurate representation of final products.
Complete tasks independently with minimal supervision and revision.
Support Administration of Licensing Execution:
Develop and maintain appropriate project timelines in line with the supervisor’s expectations.
Provide information as requested by Japan HQ and licensees.
Obtain and assess information, statements, samples, etc., for future sales activities.
Organize necessary and important documents for licensing, including filing contracts, royalty reports, approval documents, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in licensing, merchandising, and/or sales preferred
Strong time management skills; ability to track multiple projects in various stages of completion
Strong numerical skills; ability to check and follow up on royalty reports, sales statements, and collect payments
Excellent written and verbal communication and follow-up skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience and knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
Japanese speaking is a plus
