Asset Management Associate
The Asset Management Associate will support the Development and Investment Management teams in the acquisition underwriting and operation of multifamily and mixed-use properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with property managers to prepare annual operating budgets and business plans.
- Monitor property performance, including leasing, marketing, and management activities, ensuring alignment with forecasts.
- Develop and maintain a database of key operating metrics for the portfolio.
- Report on key metrics, trends, and variances from forecasts; implement proactive strategies to address operational issues.
- Assist the Investment Management team with financial analyses and reviews of property performance data.
- Conduct market research and competitive surveys to support product planning and new acquisition underwriting.
- Review commercial leasing guidelines, lease agreements, tenant financial reports, and commercial operating information as needed.
- Travel periodically to properties to ensure on-site teams meet expectations and properties maintain consistent maintenance and presentation.
- Prepare written presentations for the investment committee to support proposed transactions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment, property management, or development with direct responsibilities for multifamily asset management.
- Basic understanding of property investment, development, and financing processes, including market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation, project budgeting, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of product types, including multifamily, retail, and office. Strong financial analysis and Excel modeling skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills; confident in building and maintaining positive relationships with partners, developers, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other computer applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
SALARY USD 90,000 – 120,000
