POSITION SUMMARY
Handling a variety of legal issues in collaboration with senior management, depending on the nature of the issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support corporate governance and provide day-to-day legal guidance to various business functions.
Draft, review, and negotiate standard contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state laws, as well as basic international regulatory requirements.
Provide legal support for employment matters, intellectual property issues, and smaller-scale mergers or acquisitions.
Collaborate with external counsel for litigation or complex regulatory issues.
Maintain organized systems for legal documentation, including contracts and compliance records.
Identify and address potential legal risks in business operations.
Conduct research on legal and regulatory changes relevant to the company’s operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate law, including experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (e.g., NDAs, service agreements).
Proven track record in advising on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters in U.S. and international contexts.
Experience in managing mergers & acquisitions is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state laws, as well as international legal frameworks.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams and external counsel.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience in subsidiary entity governance.
Previous in-house legal experience or experience in a healthcare or service industry is desirable.
