POSITION SUMMARY
A Japanese food trading corporation is seeking a Product Category Associate to join their team. The Product Category Associate provides administrative support to the Product Management Department, tracking incoming products and collaborating with team members to achieve sales goals. They also assist in implementing marketing strategies through proposals, presentations, market research, and digital content creation. This is a hybrid position!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring a friendly environment.
- Coordinate, transfer, and translate technical documentation to support the product line across global branches.
- Maintain document control for specification and manufacturing sheets, including storage, verification, and retrieval from makers.
- Manage vendor accounts, including merchandise expenses, invoicing, and payment confirmation.
- Obtain and verify specification sheets and guarantee letters from vendors and submit them to customers via the Sales Department.
- Create and report sales performance data to vendors and retrieve data from the Business Intelligence (BI) database as needed.
- Coordinate the distribution of internal and external marketing literature and complete sales-related and marketing administrative projects.
- Learn and implement digital marketing plans and assist in writing and editing sales and marketing materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 2 years in an office environment, marketing, sales support, or related business experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with digital marketing software.
- Japanese/English bilingual preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple tasks.
BASE SALARY USD45,000-59,000 (DOE)
LOCATION Santa Fe Springs, CA
WORK STYLE Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
